1980’S VINTAGE MCM POST MODERN EXCELSIOR SPIRAL PLASTER FLOOR LAMP

1980’s? Vintage MCM POST MODERN Excelsior Spiral Column Twist Plaster Floor Lamp. Approximate dimensions: Plaster height 48" Spiral diameter 4.5" Base diameter 11" 10' cord 23" diameter shade Gorgeous, Michael Taylor style lamp, in excellent condition. The original marbelized cream color plaster was a bit dated. The attractive distressed, pitted finish has been newly stained with a coffee color gel stain, which has subtle lighter shading, and was then sealed with an oil-based satin varnish. The electrical components were removed to allow for all of the plaster to be refinished. The brass bell at the top was also refinished . The harp, finial, and shade, all appear to be original. The shade was structurally in good shape, but the fabric was getting dingy, so it too was given new life, with a retinting in a color similar to the original. The first picture though, shows a wide, low profile shade, if you prefer that look. This now one-of-a-kind floor lamp will enhance virtually any style from classic to modern.
