This saxophone is modeled after the German Keilworth alto and hence, the “German Engineering” moniker. To look at this sax it resembles a Keilworth. If you hold it, the materials and build feel substantial like a Keilworth - not lightweight like even a newer Bundy or Conn. The Keilworth modeling along with the solid construction material make this a fantastic sax for a beginner to upper intermediate player. It includes a High F# key which is not found on beginning models. The tone and response are great. You can see the craftsmanship that Selmer placed in this instrument when it was experimenting.
