Description:

Schram Studio, a licensed architecture and interior design practice focused on luxury residential, hospitality and retail design, is seeking a highly organized and talented individual to join our team as a Studio Manager. As an emerging practice operating between Los Angeles and New York City, Schram is creating exceptional spaces that inspire and transform. Current projects include architecture, interior design and construction admin services for hillside residential homes in Los Angeles, NYC apartments, vacation rentals and hotels, fitness facility + spa designs, product and furniture, and graphic design logo/branding projects. Many of these are confidential and will be released to the public soon! Should this info alone catch your eye, we can share more on an intro call. Fun fact: we recently designed the Standing Ashtray for the company Houseplant. So you can see our projects range in scale from that of the coffee table to the home itself. Responsibilities: * Project Schedule Management: As the Studio Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth project operations by coordinating and organizing project schedules. This includes tracking project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables, and effectively communicating with team members, consultants and client to keep projects on track. * FF&E Sourcing and Purchasing: Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design and a passion for finding the perfect furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for our projects. You will be responsible for researching and sourcing high-quality materials, negotiating with vendors, and managing procurement processes. * Proposal Preparation: Collaborating with our design team, you will assist in developing compelling project proposals. This includes gathering relevant information, organizing content, creating visually appealing presentations, and ensuring that proposals are completed accurately and within deadlines. This will carry forward into the design phases as you continue to assist with design intent presentations. * General Administrative Support: In addition to project-related tasks, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the team. This may involve managing calendars, scheduling meetings, organizing travel arrangements, preparing expense reports/invoicing, and maintaining accurate records. * Dog Walking: Ideally you love dogs, and will have the opportunity to walk our beautiful and loving Art Director, a German Shepherd named Phoenix. Requirements: * Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the architecture, interiors or design industry is highly desirable. * Organizational and Time Management Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills are essential to handle multiple projects and deadlines in our fast-paced environment. * Attention to Detail and Multitasking: Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively will contribute to the successful execution of projects. * Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective collaboration with team members and external stakeholders. * Proficiency in Software and Tools: Savviness in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), Bluebeam Revu, Google Workspace, Google Sheets/Excel, and Trello is preferred. If not, ability to show that you are a quick learner with a willingness to dive-in, ask questions and quickly YouTube/Google is a sure-fit. * FF&E Knowledge: Knowledge of FF&E sourcing and procurement processes is necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this role. * Adaptability and Independence: The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines, is important for success. * Preferred Education: A Bachelor's degree in architecture, design, business, or a related field is preferred. Location and Compensation: While we prefer candidates based in Los Angeles or New York City, we are open to remote work arrangements for the right candidate. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience, with ability to grow long term with an emerging practice. To Apply: If you are passionate about architecture and design, possess strong organizational skills, and thrive in a dynamic work environment, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your resume, portfolio, and a brief cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you are interested in joining our team. Applications can be sent to projects@schramstudio:com with the subject line: [Position Title] Application. We appreciate your interest in joining our team and will reach out to qualified candidates for further consideration. Thank you for your application.
