Home Improvement Cost Estimator

We are DMV Renovation! We are the fastest-growing home improvement company in Arlington VA. We are looking for a Home Improvement Cost Estimator, to support our sales team. Assist in the preparation of estimation cost proposals as well as architectural designs for our residential remodeling projects. Responsibilities - Review the project, determine the scope of work, and prepare an estimate for the project. - Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. - Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information. - Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization. - Utilize estimating software and conform to established policies and procedures. Experience, skills, and qualifications - The ability to read and interpret contract drawings (ie blueprint) with strong mathematical skills are required. - Basic knowledge of civil and building construction. - Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimum supervision - 3+ years of experience in related fields. - Experience with construction estimation software, such as Xactimate, Buildertrend, etc will be considered a plus. - Ability to learn quickly and multitask required. - Must have its own vehicle and be able to reliably commute around the DMV area
