He mentioned to me that JLH would come into one of his facilities near San Francisco in a black cadillac, riding in the back and a lanky blonde in a black suite, black chauffer's hat and high heels would get out and pump the gas for him. I asked, if I get you a guitar--would you take it to that location and see if you could get his autograph? He agreed. Five months later there was a note on my door to stop over. And there it was.... It's hung on a wall for years. Never played.
